Job description
GMU ATS x86 Competitive Specialist is required to lead System x Competitive Initiative at growth countries. Around 50% travel time will be required. Candidate need to demonstrate leadership and could effectively bridge worldwide System x resources and location teams to roll out new initiative, handle complex account situation and to winback against competition with passion.
Candidate should have in-depth technical skills and thorough understanding of System x, BladeCenter and System Software (Linux, MS Windows, Virtualization software, System Director etc.). Candidate with competitive background is preferred and must have good marketing sense and good understanding of x86 market trends and direction, as well as competitive advantage of System x over competitive offering (HP, DELL, Oracle, Dawning, Huawei etc.). Candidate with industry solution experience and competitive platform technical background is preferred.
Candidate will be responsible for pre-sales technical support, new solution promotion, sizing / architecture design, solution demo, proof of concept, benchmark tests and major account client satisfaction issue handling etc. In addition, GMU ATS is also responsible for advanced technical skills deployment at GMU countries, including local ATS, FTSS, SA, BP etc. Good team work among peers, location teams, sales teams and management team is important.
Have 5+ years working experience on Power System and AIX
With 1+ years working experience in Global or Cross-country role
Competitive background (e.g. HP / DELL) is preferred
Development laboratory or application developer experience is preferred
In-depth or hands-on experience in the following area:
- HP / Dell / Dawning / Huawei x86 and Blade Server
- MS Windows and Various Distribution of Linux
- Competitive Analysis skills
Good command of Mandarin and English (both written and spoken)
Good communication skills and strong leadership
Good Consultative Skills
Demonstrate leader role in previous engagement or position
Ability to work independent and as a part of team
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years experience in Power System and AIX
