GENERAL SUMMARY
The Business Solutions Regional Leader “BSRL” is responsible for the success of the Commerce Group’s Business Solutions portfolio in the designated IOT. The “BSRL”will have responsibility for ensuring that the strategic direction, revenue targets, sales enablement , headcount and pipeline build metrics are achieved for the “Business Solutions” portfolio of products and services within the assigned IOT territory.
The position reports to Commerce Group’s NE IOT leader. The role requires significant skills in establishing strategic leadership across the geographic sales teams who are targetted with selling the Business Solutions portfolio and as the “Product/Solution” go to expert within the region.
SCOPE OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The “BSRL” role will have a significant impact on revenue and budget performance for the assigned “Product/Solution” portfolio. To support this the “BSRL” will be expected to own, build, maintain and present to senior executive management, on a monthly basis, an operational plan ,that reflects the current financial performance and expected outcomes against the assigned goals and objectives.
SUPERVISION
The position has no direct reports, however, this senior position will be expected to work as a matrix manager and worldwide matrix contributor in coordinating people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company to achieve the planned goals and objective.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
leads the business in an assigned IOT by supporting the regional Commerce IOT leader to overachieve revenue targets and ensure ongoing business development through a wide variety of activities which would include and not limited to:
   Work with regional Commerce & Industry Solutions leaders to ensure the best sales and technical sales individuals are hired, on-board, enabled, and effective in each territory. 
   Work with the regional sales and technical sales teams to ensure that they have aggressive and meaningful territory development plans, sales plays by industry & product, that will help them deliver their targets every quarter.
   Work with the sales and technical sales teams to track their opportunity progression and pipeline development, providing coaching and constructive feedback to ensure their ongoing success.
   Work with marketing to ensure that successful demand generation programs are operational and delivering results in each territory.
   Work with services to ensure that all services engagements are bid, staffed, and delivered successfully.
   Work with channels to find great business partners in every territory that will deliver new pipeline and create high levels of client value.
   Work with Product Management to justify and ensure the regional needs and local market requirements to achieve revenue plans are   included in the product roadmap development schedule.
   Provide accurate and regular reports on the business as required by geographical and WW leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Excellent leadership and management skills. Requires knowledge of sales principles and sales management. Requires knowledge of principles of product management and product marketing. Knowledge of marketing methodologies, principles and practices. In depth understanding of assigned product or demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new software products. Requires excellent long and short-term strategic planning skills. Requires a thorough understanding of business processes and concepts and the ability to relate product capabilities to business issues. Comprehensive knowledge of operating and fiscal planning and analysis. Ability to lead and influence peer groups and gain acceptance/approval of controversial or innovative ideas and concepts; ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive strategy cross functionally. Ability to work as a matrix manager in coordinating people and technical resources from multiple areas of the company. Leadership and project leadership capabilities and experience within and across functional areas. Experience and proficiency in the development and metoring of personnel resources. Good negotiation, analytical, project management, organizational, prioritization, and strategic planning skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills; good interpersonal/customer relations skills; highly motivated. Ability to select, lead, evaluate, and develop employees. Thorough working knowledge of computer desktop productivity tools.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: >=5 years experience in sales and or software product management and or product marketing.
