Job description
Sales Transaction Hub (STH) is an organisation whose mission is to provide pre-support to the Sales Community, so they can spend more time with customers, delivering higher quality, more responsive solutions, proposals and contracts.
STH is now looking for a new Bid Manager. 
The Bid Manager is a key role in Sales activity, supporting the sales force from opportunity selection or receipt of a client RFP, through to contract signature and handover to Fulfilment or Delivery. The role includes a considerable emphasis on the sales process and project management for the duration of the bid. It also requires skills in proposal development, liaison and communication across many functions, a strong understanding of business rules and processes to ensure compliance, teaming and business acumen to mitigate risks. The Bid Manager will manage most of the internal processes allowing other members of the sales or bid team to focus on the win strategy and client.

Core Responsibilities:
• Engage as a trusted peer with Opportunity Owners (OOs) on single or complex/cross-brand opportunities, providing leadership and involvement throughout the bid / sales process;
• Develop overall project plans for opportunities and have all the responsibilities of project management when a separate project manager is not assigned;
• Be involved in the overall solution design process, but not involved in architecting the technical solution;
• Identify internal support resources, secure all core team members, including SME (Subject Matter of Expert) business resources, coordinate the participation of Aligned functional and brand support technical resources;
• Advises other professionals in support of bid/proposal and negotiates to achieve completion of bid/proposal.
• Involves in the development of a solution, proposal, and associated deliverables that satisfy the customer’s business and technical requirements and meet objectives as communicated through the OO,
• Work as a trusted peer with the OO to execute the Win Strategy developed in conjunction with the OO;
• Provide operational leadership for the solution design and proposal development support team to meet client deadlines with high quality deliverables;
• Analyzes and provide the initial escalation point for team issues (in collaboration with OO), and leverage expertise or management team to influence people in core team, aligned functions and bid team.
• Ensure audit-readiness by ensuring compliance is met with all relevant aspects of the Solution Design process, business control, reviews and approval requirements;
• Maintain a control file of customer correspondence and proposal related documents;
• Work in conjunction with Proposal Manager, Proposal Production Specialist, Proposal Writer, ICAP Specialist if any of these are required;
• Potentially remain engaged through contract signature and fulfillment to assure smooth transition to delivery.
• The Bid Manager will first be engaged in medial and high-moderate risk HW/SW/Service or cross-brand opportunities, but is expected to quickly grow into a more senior role. Gradually, the Bid Manager is required to lead large cross-LoB engagement team as the Bid Manager and Proposal Team Leader (PpTL).

Bachelor's Degree

Additional requirement
Bachelor's Degree
3 years or above working experience in Sales or Pre-Sales support
Basic knowledge in IT
Basic knowledge in solution and proposal development teams for complex opportunities
Basic knowledge in role, responsibilities, and processes of functional support team members
English: Fluent
